Tina Gilbert Level 1 Triathlon Coach
I developed a passion for sporting activities at a young age, completing my first half marathon in Year 11, at the tender age of 16! I have been involved in exercise and related activities ever since.
Whilst studying a Human Movements with a major in Physical Education at QUT, I was fortunate enough to train under the watchful eye of Pat Clohessy (Robert De Castella’s Coach) and with his support and intense training, improved my half marathon time to 1 hour 20 minutes!Since then, I have gone on to establish Squeezu Personlised Pilates in 2000 and then in 2007, Oxygen Uptake, Corporate Triathlon Training. Both enable me to train and inspire individuals to achieve fantastic physical results.
I instruct and mentor people from various industries and backgrounds, including athletes, business executives and mums’ to be!I believe every individual is capable of attaining their optimum physical condition, if made aware of their potential and the steps necessary to achieve that goal. Since beginning work in the fitness industry, I’ve encouraged my clients aged from 16 to 75 to achieve outcomes they never thought possible!
My mission as a fitness instructor and triathlon coach, is to educate my clients about exercise, diet and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. My goal is to empower them to make the most of their abilities: through knowledge, direction and encouragement. I encourage clients to take an active interest in accomplishing their goals, and I welcome their input and feedback throughout the entire training process.
Throughout the last 8 years, my goal has remained the same: to surround myself with positive people who share a wellness philosophy and strive to achieve their goals, be they personal, professional or physical. I want my impact on others to be positive!
For me it is the ultimate enjoyment to spend time with people who love what they do and aren’t afraid to impel themselves to get there!
